2010 will provide a newly revised coaching course presented in conjunction with East Coast Field Hockey’s Education Division. This years coaching clinic will again feature Coach Rodolfo (Rudy) Mendoza, Argentina’s former National Team Coach and Olympic Team coach. Coach Mendoza is currently consulting for, training and advising the National Teams of two countries to develop their Field Hockey coaches in addition to his coaching responsibilities in Argentina. Coach Mendoza was the primary course director for High Performance coaching courses taught around the world and most recently at the Junior World Cup in Santiago, Chili.
Coach Mendoza is also one of only 7 hockey coaches in the world who have ever achieved the world coaching level as an FIH Master Coach . If you want to: learn the modern game that has changed some much and so many times these past 5 years, learn training new training models, learn to how to better train and prepare your team against specific situations you encounter in the modern game, or engage in discussions regarding thoughts and ideas you have to develop your team to play in 2010 and beyond, this course is designed for you. Coach Mendoza is both the source and the resource you have been waiting for. Rudy is one of the most successful International field Hockey coaches in the world coaching the coaches of most major field hockey countries. You cannot afford to miss his 2010 course.

Vanina Oneto,
was one of the most famous field hockey players in the
world. Vanina will again be the primary demonstrator
and primary assistant for this course.
This course will be non-stop action from start
to finish. You can actively participate (bring
your stick) or you can just observe and take notes.
Learn the many drills that will accomplish the training
objectives discussed. All drills presented will be provided
to course attendees at the conclusion of the course.
Coach Mendoza will have a team of high school U19 players
for him to demonstrate and for you too to coach if you
desire on each topic presented.

It will be a great opportunity for those
who would like hands on teaching and training. Other coaches
who would prefer not to actively coach, but who would prefer
to verbalize their ideas and questions, will gain a tremendous
amount of information and incite by observing. So no matter
your level of coaching or actual skill ability, this course
will have what you are searching for in hockey.
The "Super Star" assistant for
this course is Vanina Oneto,
the star of Argentina and Argentina's Field Hockey. Vanina
who just over a year ago came back
with her team as the "Champions"
of the World Cup Field Hockey tournament held in Perth, Australia. Vanina is and has been a key member of Argentina's
National Team since she was 17 years old! You'll delight
in her demonstrations and her knowledge of the modern game.
And she'll even sign a few mementos too, if you'd like!!.
Vanina was considered one of the Best Female hockey players
in the world. She is an Olympic silver medalist winner of
winner of several Champions Trophy Championships.
Heino Knuf,
one of Germany’s “Directors of Coaching”
for the German National Hockey Federation will work closely
with Coach Mendoza during this course of instruction. Heino
has worked with East Coast Field Hockey for several years
and brings a fantastic perspective from current, top level
German Hockey. With Germany’s continual success as
one of the Best mens and women’s field hockey teams
in the world, it’s Heino working behind the scenes
coaching the coaches who have achieved so must international
success.
Assisting will also be Willie
Michael Michelson, Germany’s current U21
team coach. A very well experienced coach for both men and
women, Willie is very able to translate top international
concepts into realism for the high school player and coach.
His passion for the sport will be very obvious from the
moment you meet Willie and his perspectives are new and
exciting.
Also conducting the course Bill
Gaudette, one of only 107 hockey coaches in the
world to have achieved the coaching level as an "FIH Coach"
and the only US coach to have achieved this level of coaching.
Bill also successfully completed the first FIH "Indoor "
coaching course offered by the FIH during the Indoor World
Cup in Germany in early February 2003. Bill's incite into
the tactics of the game along with the conditioning and
skills training to achieve success will enable coaches to
incorporate what is required in the new game of field hockey
to achieve success. Bill is also a FIFA International Soccer
coach.
